Assistant Seabird Technician (x2)

NAMCOB Vancany: Assistant Seabird Technician

We are seeking an Assistant Seabird Technician to join our Lüderitz team. This entry-level position involves monitoring, rescuing, and tracking seabirds across island colonies. The role also includes assisting the Seabird Rangers in their efforts to care for and rehabilitate injured or abandoned seabirds, ensuring their successful return to their natural habitats when possible.

Post designation: NAMCOB Assistant Seabird Technician

Duty Station: Lüderitz

Position Type: Contract (1 year, with possible renewal); Priority will be given to candidates who are residents of Lüderitz.

Qualification/s:

  • Educational Background: Minimum Grade 10 certificate.
  • Experience: No experience or knowledge required, but a passion for environmental conservation and a keen interest in animal care, marine biology or related fields
